Delete Your Goal Gauntlet Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Goal Gauntlet account and associated data.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In the App

1. Open Goal Gauntlet
2. Go to Profile (bottom right tab)
3. Tap Settings (gear icon)
4. Scroll to Account
5. Tap Delete Account
6. Confirm by entering your password
7. Tap Permanently Delete

Option 2: Contact Support

Email us at support@goalgauntlet.com with:

• Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
• The email address associated with your account
• Your username (if known)

We will process your request within 30 days.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

Health & fitness data (steps, sleep, calories)	Yes
Challenge history and progress	Yes
Chat messages you sent	Yes
Leaderboard entries	Yes
Profile photos	Yes
Push notification tokens	Yes

What Data May Be Retained

For legal and regulatory compliance, we may retain:

Data Type	Retention Period	Reason
Payment transaction records	7 years	Tax and financial regulations
Prize payout records	7 years	Tax reporting (1099 forms)
Fraud prevention data	3 years	Security and legal compliance

This retained data is kept in secure, limited-access systems and is not used for marketing or shared with third parties except as required by law.

Important Notes

• This action cannot be undone. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
• Active challenges: If you're in an active challenge, you will forfeit any entry fees or potential prizes.
• Credits: Any unused credits in your account will be lost.
• Download your data first: Before deleting, you can download a copy of your data from Settings → Account → Download My Data.

Processing Time

• In-app deletion: Immediate
• Email request: Within 30 days
