Data Accuracy

What Gets Counted

  • Walking and running steps/distance
  • Treadmill activity (if your tracker supports it)
  • Cycling (some gauntlets only)

What Doesn't Count

  • Manual entries in health apps
  • Driving or passive movement
  • Activity before you joined the gauntlet

Handling Duplicates

If you have multiple devices:

  • Apple Health and Health Connect handle deduplication
  • You won't be double-counted
  • The platforms choose the most accurate source

Troubleshooting

Data Not Syncing

  1. Check permissions (Settings → Health Data)
  2. Verify your health app has data
  3. Try manual sync
  4. Restart the app

Wrong Step Count

  • Wait a few minutes for sync
  • Check your fitness device is syncing to health platform
  • Small differences are normal

Permission Denied

  1. Go to phone Settings → Privacy
  2. Find Goal Gauntlet
  3. Enable all health permissions
  4. Restart the app
